Need help with Jensen Stereo remote

We have an MKE 17 MLS (love it). We put in a dvd and used the flat 2”x3” remote and it worked perfectly. Next time we went to watch a movie the remote did not work. Oh well, we thought, get a new battery although used once in a year. So picked up a battery (2025) flat. Still won’t work. Did i do something to a setting from stopping it from working? Or is it defective?

I got a Blue Tooth app from Jenson for my radio/DVD player. Maybe you can do the same?

And - don't hate me for this - did you put the new battery in the right side up?

There is a reset button on the Jensen unit (I think) on the bottom left inside a little pin hole. Resetting seems to get rid of the (too often) issues with this unit.

yep - same here.... 40 years in "IT" (even before it was IT).... first question use to be 'did u plug a lamp into the electric outlet to be sure it works?'.... still working on other folks' RVs and computers and still seeing silly stuff.... glad you got your remote working! I didn't know about the reset button.

Traveldog the only app i saw on apple is for a heavy duty jensen. Mine is super basic jensen.

I knowwwww! Plug it in is so basic. I have to fight fixing stuff with the most complex solution rather than start with “see if it is plugged in” or in this case “hit the reset button”. Yikes! This is one of the main problems with rvs we had at the beginning was goofy stuff went wrong and even this simple jensen has idiosyncrasies that make it hard for us “idiots”. (Guess that is why they call it idiosyncrasies?) thanks Larry. Still laughing. Blessings to you!
