New Blackstone

The 22" is still heavy in the bag! It is good for travel tho. But then again the bag never leaves the trailer. I unzip it in the basement then haul each piece. Often just outside the basement door. I have a folding table if I need it but use the basement floor to hold all the stuff. The hose I made from the curb side propane tank reach it easily, & it's not a trip hazard.

We have the 22" model on the folding cart, it seems work ok,
The question i have is anyone using theirs hooked up to the low pressure BBQ port on the trailer? I have used ours both ways, hooked up to the LP BBQ port on the trailer and hooked directly to a propane tank with a hose/regulator & adapter. Ours seems to not work well on the trailer bbq port, it does not get very hot. However when hooked up to a individual tank with hose/regulator it work very well and gets plenty hot.
Curious what other have experienced.

This. I too have the 22" model. Using my infrared thermo I can definitely say on mine, with the low pressure rv connection/hose I only get about 250F, whereas with a little green bottle or a 20 I can get about 550F. It is annoying.

It should operate the same way. Seems both of you are having a similar issue. First thing I would check (since it operates normal on the 1lb bottle) would be the adapter used. Could be defective or just bad design, maybe partially blocked?

They are cheap enough to get another.

Good luck and let us know how it works out.

Just looked at a 36" Blackstone griddle with three air fryer/warmer drawers. About $600 at Walmart. Ace hardware has it for $800. Just cannot see how I could get this monster into the 5er. Guess I'll stick with our 17" one.

Another option for the 36" if you want to get one for your house is the 36" with the full cabinet underneath and fold out table on the side. It's available at Lowe's for $600. I chose this one for my outdoor kitchen so that I wouldn't have to set up a table to put all of my stuff on. I have the Adventure 22 for camping. It has the metal hood so that I don't have to cover it or flip the cook top over when not in use like I did with the 17. I'm cooking for 5 now and will be cooking for 7 when my twin grandsons are on solid food.

Are you using the regulator that came with the Blacksone when you connect it to the port on the RV? If so that's your problem. The pressure at the port is already regulated down by the regulator at the tanks on the RV. To use the port on the RV you need an adapter so that you can connect the hose directly to the Blackstone without the regulator.
