All,
First time on the forum and I have a few questions for those familiar with the GD Imagine.

We hope to pick up our unit in the next two weeks. It is on its way from the factory.

Some things we want to add from the very beginning and I would like to know if anyone has any gotchas to watch out for.

1. LCD TV in bedroom; not an "rv" tv; ~ 30" or smaller one with build in DVD player
2. Furion Solar Panels (not really in install) but are they worthwhile? Do they really work?
3. adjustable, frame mounted receiver for our mountain bikes and a Yakima heavy duty bike carrier
4. Furion Observation/Backup Camera (supposedly its pre-wired for this)

Any comments, concerns or suggestions would be appreciated? I did read where the camera put some drain on the battery and not sure of the circumstances. in storage we have a trickle charger.

Thanks.

Forgot to add....

5. Ladder.
a. Does not come with it and I certainly don't want to do anything stupid for leaks but it would be nice to have one.

There is a place for a wall mounted TV in the bedroom.
I added 360 sewer vents, a slide out topper, and a winterizing kit. Tried to add the ladder but they were making a design change to the ladder at the time. I think they are available now.
Make sure you get a newer one that hasn't been on the lot. They have made changes to the shower curtain, vent in the kitchen and the type of table. All for the better. And go ahead and have the dealer to install an adjustable heat vent in the bedroom. Too hot without it. I think if you add the rack to the frame it may void the frame warranty from Lippert. Check on that.
Nice camper.

Walmart sells LED tv's that will run native on 12V too, I can't think of the brand off hand however. I know they're cheap though, I planned on buying an RV without TV's and installing these. I choke every time I see a $732 32" tv on my parts list. I paid less than that for the 65" in my living room..

Depending how much room you have, I really like the Werner extending ladders (Like the Little Giants, only half the price). Might be something to consider if you have enough room to pack one with you. They fold up pretty small.

I agree on the TVs after reading up on several forums and blogs. Plenty of room for a ladder in the storage up front and I have decided that if it does not come from the factory installed, I won't mess with that. The big issue is the camera and where it is connected to and the hitch.

Thanks for the replies so far.

We bought at the RV show based on it coming in from the factory with the exact options or more from the show model, so I assume we will have the latest upgrades; except they seem to move pretty fast. What is the issue with the vent in the kitchen? A slide out topper would be nice to have. I will look at the other items too.

Thanks!

Cameras are hot wired in to the 12 volt system.

The Furrion solar panels will trickle charge the batteries, that is all.

I say a ladder would be the most important on your list. unless you plan on taking along a ladder you can shove in the storage compartment. You never know when you have to get up on top for emergency repairs.
I hear that the solar panels don't really do much expect for a trickle. But i guess it all depends on how much sun your getting.

Ask dealer to give you three vent covers.

Regarding booth dinette table, I have been looking at imagines for many months and I just started to see them showing up at the dealers (east coast) with the new retractable shower curtain and cap, however, have not seen one with a different type of table. My local dealer just received last week a 2150, two 2600's, and 2800 all still with removable tables. All had retractable curtain and fiberglass caps.
Has anyone seen the new table?
