Sorry for the new thread but I couldn't get it to work any other way!
Hey first used bead board and painted it black with the wood frame around it to match the bedroom trim and the kitchen island. He attached that to the side of the dresser for support to the right side. He put a 12 inch piece of 3/4" wood to the inside of the dresser near the top and bottom of the leg area to sandwich the thin side of the dresser for strength. He made legs for the left hand side and painted them black. He made a drawer and put a top on the table. After practicing with stain he used Minwax dark walnut but still not real happy with it. He used plain old poplar for the frame and the drawer front and birch for the top. He has plans drawn and will be glad to email them to anyone! If anyone wants to ask a question PM us and he will call you!
