My wife Mary Anne and I are not new to TT's and weekend camping, but will be new to 5th wheels and extended trips. I've been lurking on the Forum for a couple of weeks and am already learning a ton. I retired from the Army in early 2007 after 23 years and have worked in the defense industry since. Mary Anne has worked for Delta Air Lines since 1986, right out of high school. We both are planning to retire for good in the next 2-3 years.

I ordered a 2025 F450 Lariat in early October and am "patiently" awaiting delivery but it has not hit the production line yet - currently have a 2005 F250 that I bought new and it's still going strong but it's really not enough truck for our future RV'ing endeavors. We've looked at a number of 5th wheels and we think the 337RLS is our favorite currently.

We are exited about soon being unencumbered by careers and able to hit the road for more extended periods in order to see more of our great country. We currently have no real desire to full-time as we want to keep a "home base" at our little 52 acre slice of heaven near Shiloh, GA.

This forum has already been a wealth of knowledge and for the most part I've not seen much in the way of the animosity or "one-upmanship" I've seen on other (non-RV) forums that I'm involved in, which is nice. Thank you to all on here for providing us a window to our planned future as well as some great insight to the lifestyle.

For my fellow HAMs - 73, KY4BX here.

Welcome to the forum. Folks with 337RLS rigs will chime in soon.

We've got family in Columbus, GA and lived in Marietta, GA for years before moving south. So lots of trips to Pine Mountain which is a nice campground.

Looks like you'll have lots of truck to pull what you get. Wait'll you see the learning curve on the new tech in the 2025 versus the 2005! You'll go crazy just figuring all that out. But it'll be fun!

Welcome and congrats on the new rigs, once you get them in hand. I agree, this forum has really respectful people. Rarely do you see snobby or rude comments. Have fun picking out the new RV!!
