Hello everyone. Long time lurker, first post. I sure enjoy the pleasant tone of the group here. You all remind us of the friendly group at the Keystone forum.
We are long-time pretty experienced RVers and are coming (most recently) from a great Cougar X-Lite that we owned for 6+ trouble-free years. We did the double tow deal for a long time. Bittersweet, but it went to a new family yesterday. For a lot of reasons, now was the time to make the jump.
When Grand Design became a thing, we watched from a distance. We love the company's stated philosophy and way of doing business and always had them on our short list for the next camper. So now in these crazy times, we got amazing value from our Cougar and tumbled in to a solid deal on a beautiful 2018 349-M. I'm a bit of a gearhead and such and this thing is modded out pretty much exactly how I'd do it, so it was a pretty easy decision. I will bring it home here in a few days. We are blessed to be able to do this... and stoked and excited to be part of this family.
We're eager to get out in the new tenement on wheels as soon as we can. We camp and ride all over Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and the Dakotas. We'll be stretching our legs soon, so making the change to a toy hauler will let us go on some longer trips safely and more easily.
Thanks for all the advice and info already out there and I am looking forward to contributing as I can. Until then, be safe and blessed.
