New Pads in a Lippert ABS System

I have a 2023 Reflection 150, it came with the new lippert ABS system and have put about 11,000 miles on it so far. I was in the process of re-packing my wheel bearings when I noticed that my brake pads on my Rear Driverside were in need of replacement. Looks like it could have just been poorly adjusted from the factory as only one pad in the pair was worn.

I was noticing that the ABS system has created some subtle design changes to Drum hardware. There is a castelaltion feature on the rim of the drum so a wheel speed sensor which is mounted at the 12 o'clock position of the backing plate can pick it up.

Usually its easier to just replace the pads, springs and backing plate as a whole kit. Has anyone changed brake hardware yet on a ABS based system? Do the 5k-7k kits have a knock out for the wheel speed sensor? Or is there a special part number I need to look for? or do people just drill a hole and make it work? Or do I need to do this the old fashion way and just replace the pads?

We have a 2023 Reflection 320MKS, and with 6976 miles on it, the driver-side back brake pad is non-existent. I ordered dexter Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies for both axles, but upon disassembly, found the ABS sensor at the top as you found and the new assys do not have any provisions for that. There is virtually NO information anywhere about this! I will be calling GD tomorrow am to find out what the solution is- I'm suspecting that in my case having a new assembly will require me to use the old backplate in it. Will advise.

I just got back from last trip of the season and the brakes were just singing to me as they were on the indicators. I have 13,500 miles on my brakes.

Let me know what you find out from Grand Design. However, from my investigation I think Grand Design took off the shelf assemblies and drilled a hole for the wheel speed sensor. When I inspected mine in April, I saw a part number that correlated to an assembly I can buy off etrailer and the date code pre-dates the release of the Lippert ABS system.

I reached out to E-trailer to ask if they had any information. They contacted Lippert directly for a part number to go with that system and came up empty handed. This makes sense, because the abs system is a retrofit for a variety of configurations.

My plan is to take the existing assembly and back it up to the new one and use it as a template. Center punch it and drill the hole myself. That is my plan...... But I would love to hear what you find from Grand Design.
