After a year of studying and tons of great help from this forum, my wife and I signed on our new 337 today! This forum was a great help in reinforcing our confidence in the great customer service from GD when the inevitable issue crops up and in helping us become well-informed for our purchase and delivery. Thanks to all!

We are moving up from a 26' Rockwood travel trailer that we loved and camped in 30-40 nights a year (retirement is still a couple of years away) and are super excited to begin new journeys in the 337!

Welcome to our happy group! You have bought a beautiful unit and you're feel like you're in thee Ritz!!! Be sure and take a recording device to your PDI. It will be invaluable your first couple of trips out!

Thanks all! And thank you, Dave and secondchance Rob for answering truck questions a few months ago - you guys were very helpful. Great idea on recording pieces of the PDI.

Bill you are doing probably the same as my wife and I. We have the Rockwood 2604 in my signature right now. We travel to see family and have been using it about 30 nights a year for 2 years. Looking very strongly at the 337 ourselves. What Rockwood travel trailer did you have? We started pulling ours with a 2004 F-150 but upgraded knowing we would be doing a 5th wheel down the road.

Anyway congrats on your purchase. While the search is fun I can't wait to pull the trigger on what we decide and start pulling it around the country. Oh and retirement is about 14 years off for us but who is counting.

Almost the same Elkhounds. We had a Rockwood 2013 2604ws. Its a great camper. I pulled it with a Grand Cherokee and a Hensley hitch, which was a great combo- we put about 8,000 miles on it in the last 2 1/2 years. We travel pretty light, so I now have a 2500 Chevy with the Duramax.

Yep that 2604 is a great camper. We did have our slide motor go out on a trip to TX in 2014. That sucked and cost over $800 to get fixed. We bought it used in May of 14 and have been on that trip to TX with the F-150. Switched to the F-350 PSD and went to San Diego and back last May. We don't travel as light as we could because we also the the 2 Elkhounds with us.

Anyway post up some pics of your setup. I am really pretty set on that 337 but convincing the wife could take a bit. It is a little much cost wise for what we were going to do right now but I do think we will keep it until retirement so it would be a good investment for us. I can see 6-10k miles every year on whatever we get.

Congratulations Bill. We absolutely love our 337. We have spent about 150 nights in it and over almost 20,000 miles just since January. Best RV we have owned (our 6th) in every way.

Thanks, Paul! I have followed your mods to your 337 all year and you have given me great ideas for how I can improve our 337 in the months to come.

AWESOME! Congrats and welcome to the family! I know your thrilled! Looking forward to seeing you on the road! Post some pics when you have them!

Congrats on your new camper. We picked up our 337 in September and so far love. Was able to use it twice before putting it away for the winter. Can't wait for Spring to use it.

Congrats and welcome to the family! Same as everybody else, we love our 337!! Have had it 19 months now. Almost perfect, very few problems.

Brought the 337 home Monday in the rain! Coming from a bumper pull with a Hensley hitch, I was amazed at how well the fifth wheel towed. Now, only 6 weeks until we can take it out.....a long 6 weeks!

Congrats Bill and Debbie, great looking rig. We have had our 337 for just under a year and a very happy with it. Had a few bugs/issues that were quickly resolved by a dealer or GD. GD has been very responsive to my customer service calls and has sent me parts to fix what I can easily do myself. After getting thru the first couple months of finding/fixing the bugs we have been worry free for months now. Enjoy!

Thanks! We are certainly looking forward to getting it out on the road. That is great to hear that GD has been so responsive. We did a thorough PDI, but I know little hopefully) things will pop up and it will be good to be able to get parts for things I can fix.

One more quick question: What input on your TV is your DVD connected to? Ours is to the component input, which is of course analog and requires a separate audio input. I will likely switch mine over to HDMI, but not sure if the Furion head unit has HDMI in the back.

The Furrion unit I had did not have an HDMI input. I sold the Furrion and replaced it with a Hitachi unit with HDMI.

Congratulations! Too bad you have to wait so long to get it out.

Happy camping!
