New tires, to buy or not to buy this year?

Since I'm late to the party, I'll go back to the OP.
2021 Solitude 310 with ~15,000 miles
2021 Momentum 349M with ~22,000 miles
Current tires: Roadmaster RM130 215/75R17.5 H-rated.
Really? Are you sure they're not RM170s? I couldn't find a RM130 anywhere.
My Momentum's running gear is very similar to yours and I have RM170's with those specs as OEM.
Stored outside, but out of the sun. No cracks, treads are still good, no issues, buldges, or other concerns - they’re in great shape and hold air pressure like champs.
Same with mine. I have tire covers I use when stored for >~week.
I know some folks say replace at 4 years, regardless, and others say replace if warranted (cracking, tread wear, etc).
I concur with the latter point. The 4 year limit is pretty conservative, IMHO.

I disagree with the "born on" date as starting the clock. Tire experts that I interfaced with (from Dunlop, Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone) several times per year all assured me that new tires stored in a temperature stable warehouse out of sunlight are very shelf stable.
If I do replace, everyone seems to agree the Saliuns are a solid choice, correct?
That is a net opinion. I've been perfectly happy with my Roadmaster RM170's so I didn't see a reason to change.

When I got a puncture in one of my RM170s, I replaced it with the same sized RM272 as that seems to be the updated version. That tire now has 4k on it and it looks great. I'll replace my remaining RM170's with RM272s when they're needed.

I got the RM272 for $263 delivered to my door from WalMart. Discount Tire mounted it on the loose wheel for me. ("this side out" so the date code shows)

I stand corrected! RM170s yes, typo on that 1st post.
That’s a good price, I’ll check out the Roadmasters from Wally world when I’m ready to buy.

I have about 18,000 miles on my Coopers, and they look great. Unless something happens, I don't see replacing them for several years, or more. Since they are considered commercial tires, wonder if that makes any difference compared to regular GY...etc

Not that I would do it myself, you can retread them.

I wondered the same because the last set I purchased were commercial

Related question: Do y’all replace the spare when you buy new rubber?
Since all of the tires on my RV are on basically independent wheels and experience different conditions, I replace them based on their individual wear characteristics (tread depth, unusual wear, cracks, age, appearance).

The spare doesn't get heat cycles or sidewall flex cycles nor is ever exposed to direct sunlight, but it can dry rot. So I replace it when it's really old and/or is starting to get visible cracks.

Similarly, my wife's car has one of those skinny space saver spares inside the back passenger area. It's still the same one from 2007 and I have no intention of changing it.

I’m not too worried about this year, so might keep a close eye on things and plan to change out next year, or mid-year ’25 if anything looks off.

Have you checked your date codes? With a 2021 RV, your tires may have 2020 dates so are closer to 5 years old.
