New to camping.. Temps will be below 30

Hi! We just bought our 2019 Grand Design Imagine 25ft RL 2 weeks ago. We went camping this past weekend, plugged into a generator and the heat worked beautifully. It’s is sitting in our driveway, plugged into the house and I have the heat set on 55. The current temps outside at low 30’s and it will get down to mid 20’s tonight and tomorrow night. I bought 2 gallons of antifreeze at a dealership in town (we bought ours in Denton, 2 hrs away) and they said to either winterize it or keep the heat on 50 overnight and it would be fine. We are taking it back out this weekend.

Is either way okay? Also, we haven’t opened our propane, we just had it plugged into a generator and the heat was great all weekend. It’s working just fine plugged into a generator our house too. Does the heat work on propane and electric?
