Hi. We have a Reflection 150 298BH. We have been hooked up to city water all summer with no issues.

Now we are camping at a site with no water. I have it set for dry camping, freshwater tank is full and water pump switch is on.

When we turn our faucet(s) on there is a spluttering of air but very little water coming out, then it stops.

It seems like there is an air lock, but we have used the water for 5 months.

Any suggestions would be great.

The first thing is to double check the settings in the nautilus panel. After that the next check is the filter screen housing on the inlet side of the water pump. The caps on them sometimes crack and are often loose which allows the system to draw air. Sputtering while on the water pump is almost always due to a leak on the inlet side of the pump so if the filter screen is Ok carefully check all of the other connections on the inlet side of the pump.

I have an Imagine so your camper may not be exactly the same. Behind the Nautilus panel you should find a bunch of water lines. Behind one of those lines is a valve (mine is pretty hidden) that opens and closes the line from the water pump. When the camper is winterized, at a point that valve is closed. In the spring when the fresh water system gets sanitized that valve needs to be opened in order for the water pump to push water through. If it is not open, no water.

You should also check the aerator screen in your faucets. I had this same problem once or twice and found the screens completely plugged so water wouldn’t flow thru and once cleaned all was good. I think it was caused by couple of rv sites that obviously didn’t have good filters in their water systems. I had a filter on my hose connection but the particles were too fine and not picked up by it.

Good luck snd hope u get water glow again.

sometimes and especially if the o-rings in the nautilus are worn you can suck air in the pump thru the inlet where the city water would have been connected.
try placing a plug in the that city water inlet fitting and then check your pump for pressure.

i got tired of fixing the nautilus and ripped it out in favor of ball valves .Unions on eith side permit changing out with just your hands and no walls to remove... Also look at the water inlet how restrictive it is ..with the ball valves the inlet is replaced what an inlet that had NO-RESTRICTION

note in the plumbing diagram the valve that is marked "To House Faucets" must be in the closed position when using the pump
