Ditto - I have a 2024 Reflection 296RDTS. I don't know what the build date is. How can I find this? I have not used the trailer yet, being I bought it in November and it went straight to storage.

The weight sticker on the drivers side of the trailer will show the date of manufacture

When I talked to Lippert they said on the Furrion the last letters of the model number would be 'F' or 'FA' if it had freeze protection. I would verify this yourself as I don't trust a single customer service rep's answer and plan to call them back when I can get the full model number.

Mine is FWH09AFA, I may be good.

I have a question concerning this system as our new Reflection 337 has this installed. My system seems to take several minutes to send hot water to either the kitchen sink or the shower and bathroom sink. Is this normal. During my walkthrough I was advised of the adjustment located outside on the tank, and told to leave it on the maximum setting, which it is. I’m usually hooked up to city water, and couldn’t imagine how much water I would waste waiting for it to heat up to shower, if we were boondocking. I’ve accepted the fact that hot water will cost me now because of the need for propane, but this lengthy delay is annoying. Any info would be appreciated. TIA. We love everything else about our new Reflection and probably just need to get use to this new technology.

I don't have an answer for you. I would love to be able to re-plumb my Reflection trailer because my sink in the bathroom is literally 2 feet from my hot water heater and it takes over a minute running hot water to get to the sink! Shower is 6 feet away and takes almost a minute and a half! Have no idea how Grand Design manages to screw up the plumbing that bad!

I don’t get the comments on how long it takes the ODH to “get to the tap”…I don’t have one, and my HW can take up to 20 seconds to get hot. Like others when Boondocking, I use a bucket to capture the colder water for the toilet or teeth, etc. I do have a ODH at home, same as the type, just smaller, that is used inRV’s and absolutely love it. I use waaayyy less gas to heat the water than the 40 gallon tank did, and it’s great to actually have a hot tub filled with hot water!

According to the build sheet, my tankless hot water heater model number is FWF09A-AM. That would indicate that it does not have freeze protection. This morning the temperature was in the teens when we got up, and we had hot water after the normal delay. We'll be at the dealer's place for service and warranty work next week, so I'll ask them about it. I'm not sure I'd believe what they say, but I'll ask anyway.

"I would love to be able to re-plumb my Reflection trailer because my sink in the bathroom is literally 2 feet from my hot water heater and it takes over a minute running hot water to get to the sink! Shower is 6 feet away and takes almost a minute and a half!" Others have already had the coroplast down and can tell you what it actually looks like in the belly, but I think that almost everything has to run through the Nautilus system. I know there are at least three different color hoses running around there.

Normally, hot water lines run from the hot water heater to the farthest faucet, with closer ones being fed by a line that comes from a T fitting. In our case, therefore, the hot water line should run from the hot water heater to the kitchen sink, with lines coming off of that main line for the external faucet, the bathroom sink, and the shower. Since both bathroom faucets are within a few feet of the hot water heater, I should get hot water (well, at least warm) within a few seconds. It takes far longer than that.

I use an electric teapot and a two-cup pitcher in the microwave to get the water in the kitchen sink hot enough to wash dishes. I fill the teapot using "hot" water, start it, then fill the pitcher with "hot" water, start it in the microwave, then rinse the sinks with the faucet on full hot. When it starts getting fairly warm I put the drain plugs in and start filling the sinks. Meanwhile, the two electric devices are getting the water close to boiling. As soon as one is ready I put it into the wash side, with the second one going into the rinse side.

had a diff brand tankless on a diff brand unit, hated it for all the reasons given, plus a sticky sail switch. that and the 12v fridge will likely keep me in my good old '17 until it falls apart.
