Just arrived at my camping spot and was able to open the door side and bedroom slides with no problem. The kitchen slide is not opening and does not appear to be receiving power. I checked the front fuses in the battery compartment if that’s the right fuses. Pushed wires around, tried using OneControl. No luck. I’m up for quick suggestions.
Thanks

What type of slide is it? Have you checked the controller?
Thanks for the response. It’s an Lippert electric through frame slide out system. I looked at what I believe is the controller in the front battery compartment. Checked the fuses, but there’s probably somewhere else to check that I’m not familiar with.

Well, all of a sudden, my slide started working out of the blue. Maybe a fuse reset itself after a while I’m guessing. That’s the only answer I can come up with. It did bring up another question. How do you manually take out the slide or bring it in, on the kitchen side. I know the door side has a crank valve.

Your kitchen slide has the same system.

The hole for the crank will be on the door side.

Always opposite of the slide you want to open.

Well, now there is no power to the slide again. The other slides still work fine. Strange it would not work to extend the the other day and then did so after a few hours. Now testing it, knowing I have to go home from my camping trip in a few days, I tried it to see if it would retract and nothing.
I’m hooked up to a 50 amp outlet. For the heck of it I turned both heaters off just to see if it was a power issue and nothing. Didn’t think that would be it. I’m still up for suggestions. Thanks for any help.

Unless I’m totally missing something, there’s no crank on the door side to bring in the kitchen slide. The only crank on the door side is for the spare tire.

Well, I can't help with that specific model since it isn't made anymore, but, the Influence version has the hole right next to the entrance steps. On the left side, before the door side slide starts.

I had to call an RV mobile unit to come out. $180 later, after about an hour, he cut open a small hole in the core blast underneath and found a ground wire that came lose from the slide motor that was causing the problem.
Did your slide make a ratcheting sound when you tried to extend it? We are having same issue and Lippert said it could be the actuator but if you had the ratcheting sound same as us I wonder if that is problem too?

Did your slide make a ratcheting sound? Ours won't extend and Lippert thought it is an actuator but if yours made that sound as ours is doing maybe that's our issue too. Tx

No ratchetingsound. It was not getting any power at all. What made it weird again was that it would not go out when we arrived at the campsite and then two hours later it did go out. After that would not do anything and then finding out it was a ground wire underneath. Made me wonder why it went out two hours after we got there when it w

There was no power at all. It would do nothing. It was weird that when we first got to the campground that it would not go out with no power, and then after two hours, it did and then quit again for good until the loose ground wire was discovered underneath by the motor.

Hi there, curious to know if your issue was resolved. Our front slide (bedroom) works fine, but the rear two (which operate together) don't move and when I press the button to extend there is a ratcheting sound and the lights flicker rapidly.

Sounds like you may have a regular Solitude with Hydraulic main slides (if they are one switch)

It also sounds like you have a low battery and/or it is cold and the fluid is thick. You are describing the way it would function in those scenarios.

Thanks for the feedback. I did ensure the battery was fully charged by putting a charger on for 36 hours, so I feed confident about that. The temperature is supposed to be in the 40's this weekend, so I will check again than and may put a portable heater below the trunk area where the fluids are.

update, 31-Dec. I also called the dealership and asked Service what they thought. He said it might be the battery, I said that I fully charged them and my gauge showed full. He went on to say that my tester likely wouldn't pick up if a cell is bad. So, I took them out and went to NAPA and had them tested. The batteries were deep cycle rated at 750 AMP's, but only delivered 7 and 9 each. I purchased new ones and put them in and things work well.

Had that same thing happen last year on my ATV, except that the 4 wheeler gage had the battery icon flashing. I checked it and charged it to no avail, all I got was the clicking sound. Replaced the solenoid, tore the starter apart, and finally put in a new battery at my sons suggestion. Darn thing started right up (with my son smirking in the background....)
