Leaving in the morning heading to the Oregon coast. It takes me two days driving to get there. We will overnight in Peach Beach Campground on the Columbia River. The Beverly Beach campground is just completing maintenance / upgrades which took longer than planed. The Park was supposed to be open July1 but the work wasn't complete the opening was delayed 30 days opening Aug 1, our reservations adjusted. We lost 4 nights but I'll take what I can get!

We have spent time exploring the coast over the years but I'm always open to discovering something new.
Does anyone have any recommendations for must see or do on the Oregon Coast?

We enjoyed the Aquarium in Newport and the wharf front shops and restaurants. South Beach campground is also nice, but Beverly is nice too.

My wife and I were Lighthouse tour guides at Umpqua Lighthouse. It's one of only a few that do a tour to the top of the lighthouse.

Here is the view you would get.

There are the old military fortifications at Ft Stevens. Thing is that once you've seen a lighthouse or an old coastal gun battery or even a cavern, I kind of lose interest in seeing more. Especially when you've seen a lot of them. But interesting if you've never been.
