Our Short Shake down Trip

We couldn't wait for our planned trip on the 12th so we took a 2 night trip to a local beach campground to test out the new Reflection 337RLS. we had awesome weather and even had a couple of whale sightings right out our rear window!

First of all let me say that Deb and I feel so lucky to have this new rig. It is unbelievably nicer than our last rig or anything we could have ever imagined we could afford to own. This is such a solid, high quality rig. So many people in the campground were asking us about it. Grand Design 5th wheels are still few and far between here.

And our awesome find at a local Walmart. This table fit our living room perfectly and the finish is almost identical to the black bead board around the island and behind the TV! Oh, and it was $18!

Awesome trip especially whales out the window! We've had dolphins and a manatee at the back of ours, don't see too many whales in FL.

Yeah, it was special seeing the whales. The coffee table does work really well in there. We remove the cup holder from the theater recliner and place the table upside down on it with a strap for travel.

So tickled for you guys! We have had ours a year and we still feel the same way every time we are in it!! IMHO Grand Design is one of the tops in the market. Love your pictures! Looks like you guys have made it home already! We are going to the Tampa RV show next weekend so we hope to get our good eye on some of the new models. Not sure if that is a good idea or not!!

Paul--the table is a great idea and a real good look ! After our snowstorm going on right now is done, may have to head to Walmart……..may be on a snowmobile ! Glad to hear the initial trip was wonderful. We too experience the same thing every time we go out and show our RV.......everyone loves our GDRV just like we do.

Jim--would imagine that when Ron, Bill, and Don deliver your new 337 to replace the problem child you have had and still have that you will get gold plated sink covers along with a whole bunch of other nice things. As we have shared, things will break and not perform but the key is what happens next. When quality issues become extremely excessive (as it seems in your situation) one would hope that Grand Design RV which “talks” (and I believe also “walks”) quality will do the right thing and just get a new replacement 337 for you. It would seem GDRV would want to get your current RV back to analyze the many quality issues to identify team, production and/or component challenges to learn and ultimately improve.
