Our couch has two outlets for the recliners. They are for lights, heat and vibration of the recliners and we don't use them. I would like to remove one of these to plug my laptop into. The outlets are between the couch and the refrigerator wall. How hard is the couch to remove?

Generally, there are a couple of wood screws through the base of the recliner and into the slide floor, or into the floor of the trailer if the recliner is not located in a slide. They are fairly short screws so that they don't go all the way through the floor.

Here's another thought though, if you can reach the receptacle, even if it's difficult to get to, and plug in a Power strip with a cord long enough to be able to reach easily, that might be the way to go. Most of those power strips will have surge suppression built into them and could help protect the laptop. I'm not familiar with your particular trailer, so just offering up some generic answers here.

Our OEM "Love Seat" recliner with the power for heat, message, and lights can be dissasembled by removing the backs using latches on the back. Then like @triplethreat mentioned, remove the bolts holding the frame to the floor. Removing the backs is neccessary to clear the RV entry door for removal/install. You should then have access to the 110v outlets.

Happy trails!

I will try that being I can see the outlets. The hardest part would be getting down and up from the floor being I have a bum knee. I have several 2' long surge strips.

As long as the cord is long enough to be out from behind the recliner/sofa/whatever, and easy to access for plugging in the laptop, you're golden. I'll assume that the laptop power supply does NOT draw enough current to require a heavy duty surge strip made with heavier gauge wire, etc.

I have a 260 RD fifth wheel. I simply unplugged the seats and was able to reach the outlet to do so.

Just a few screws on the angle iron frame to be removed. Lift the foot rest up and you will find them. I don’t think you will need to remove the complete seat to get to the wall outlet. The center arm rest just pulls straight up to remove from the mounting bracket. If you need more space to work remove one of the seat backs. They have a spring metal retainer that you need pull out on each side as you pull it up. Lift up the velcro flap to see the spring metal retainer. I’m just leaving my plug unhooked because I never use them but always accidentally hit the buttons.

You can buy Lazer printed raised guards with or without magnetic covers for the buttons to protect from accidentally hitting them.
My bad back loves the heated seat & massage functions regularly.

Where did you find those button covers? I'm constantly hitting the buttons but i like having them. I'm not quite sure what to search for.
