PD9160AL Converter Tripping GFCI in Garage

I have a 2022 Grand Design Imagine 2660RB and I changed the battery system to a LiFEPO4 and a progressive dynamics 9160AL converter. I followed another thread for installation instructions.

When I plug into shore power, ie garage, it trips the garage GFCI. If I plug the converter directly into the garage it trips the GFCI. If I disconnect the negative lead on the battery it runs the converter without tripping the GFCI. GFCI plugs in the RV showed green on the tester and no issues. If I plug into a non gfci outlet in the house it runs the converter, I get 40 amps on the shunt reading. I had a WFCO WF-8955-MBA-AD Auto-Detect Power Center Main Board Assembly, 55A Output installed in the power center which would not trip the gfci. Would only read 10 amps on the shunt. I removed this converter because it would rarely detect that I had a lithium battery.

PD9160 and battery installed in the front under storage. I do have the converter case connected to chassis ground according to instructions. I have read multiple posts but none seem to address my issue and I have tried:

1. Chassis ground from case of converter is bolted into the frame.
2. Tried different extension cords and replaced the campers cord.
3. Tested all gfci outlets and all show green.
4. Runs great on generator or non gfci outlet.
5. Unplugged everything in garage but GFCI still blew.
6. Checked power station for any loose wires.
7. Turned all circuit breakers off but main (powers the outlets) and still blew gfc in garage.

Suggestions I have read is to replace the GFCI outlet in the garage, it's about 10 years old. Anything else I could try or reasons why it's tripping the GFCI.

Is the PD convertor new? Has it ever worked without tripping the GFCI?
I think the PD has a ground fault (possibly a MOSFET leaking to the heatsink).
The GFCI doesn't trip when the neg battery wire is disconnected because the circuit is open.
Call PD. I'll bet they'll send you a new convertor.

I don't have any ideas for you sorry. Plugging rv's into GFCI's can be problematic sometimes. I have a Multi-plus with lithium's (also a hard wired autoformer & power watchdog) in mine and it blows GFCI's. A state park we like to go to has them on the 30 amp services for some reason and we blow it. I haven't figured out why so I get there early to get one of the 50 amp sites or run it off the batteries and geney. Its the only place I have an issue, nowhere else I've been has GFCI breakers on 30 or 50 amp services. I gave up looking since it almost never an issue.

Update us if you find it

Yes the converter has tripped the gfci in my garage since installation. I just assumed it was pulling too many amps in the garage. I just unplugged and used the Wfco when at home and used the PD when on generator. Finally had some time this week to do more research and troubleshooting. I bought last August so I will contact PD and get their thoughts. Thanks for info.

It sounds like a little AC current is leaking to the output. Call the company and explain the issue. They should swap it out.
