Got a few things done off my check list:

Reflection 303 purchase--check
Truck bed sprayed--check
B&W Companion Slider installed--check

Pick up the 303-- ? (Hopefully June 2......)

The wait is killing me.....

You will like that hitch. I did notice something after my last trip that I have since fixed. My hitch at start and stop would clank where the slider had slack in the forward position. There is about .100 of slack that will cause this banging when starting and stopping. I installed two strips of (high compression strength) cork tape we use for fire rated glass setting blocks. No more noise. If you have that same problem after using your hitch, that is where it is coming from.

Trting to figure out picture download

Lets see if I figured out the photo download

I had a similar "clunk" from my Reese Slider when it was new. There are a couple of different small clearance movements, that if they happen at the same time, result in the clunk. I tried cushioning the travel but that did not last long. Then i realized that this was a "stick/slip" situation caused by new paint and no lubrication. I lubricated these interfaces and things move independently and smoothly. No more detectable clunk. See post 8 on this previous thread.

Glazier / Steve --
I have that clunk, but my hitch is a Reese manual slider.
Can you give an additional bit of description or perhaps attach a photo or the cork tape solution when you get a chance?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ken,

See post #6 (and the included link for more details) for the fix on the Reese Manual Slider. (At least . . . what worked for me on this hitch)

I only now saw these responses.........

Paint is not the issue because the hitch is probably 8-10 years old.
I do put a little grease on the king pin and use a lube plate. I spray the slide rails with WD40 a few times during the season.
I'll take a look to see if there are other points of movement that would benefit from a bit of grease.

I guess what I really ought to do is to sit in the truck bed and have my lovely bride drive it up and down the driveway so I can where the movement is.

One of these days I'll get a Pull Rite Super Glide.......

Thanks for the suggestions.
