Power surge protectors and low voltage warning device

I have read that some of the manufacturers are putting surge protectors standard in their trailers. Does anyone know if the 2014 Solitudes come with any type of surge protectors or low voltage warning systems for use when you are on hook while ups in campgrounds?

I don't think so. At least mine didn't come with one. I purchased a portable surge protector. I use it mainly to check campground wiring and install it when the weather looks ugly. On the advise of a service tech, I purchased a plug-in type volt meter to moniter campground voltage. I keep it plugged in on the aft end of the island. Easy to see there. I'm told that certain electronics (particularly the A/C compressor) will be damaged over time if run with too low voltage (less than 95 volts). I'm no expert but I trusted the guy. Volt meter was only 12 bucks. Better safe than......:(

No surge suppressor on any GD products....

Thank you, I ordered one today after reading your replies.

Curious if anyone has installed a hard wired Progressive Industries surge protector on a Solitude 305? How difficult is the install?

I installed a Progressive EMS on a Reflection 337. PITA, but not too bad. I removed the cabinet door in front of the converter, pulled the converter out and put the EMS on the floor behind the converter and wired it all up. Actually I wired it all up and then put the EMS on the floor. Pretty tight space and that #6 cable is a B!#$% to work with and bend:)
