Power Watch Dog E8

2024 337RLS. We are plugged in at home (50amp)preparing for a trip. The main A/C has been on for a few days. Turned on the bedroom A/C and the WatchDog shut of the power to the rv with an E8 code which is a neutral wire( No neutral circuit in the rv). I didn’t think much about it at the time and dismissed the message and everything powered up again. Both A/C’s ran fine all day. I went outside about 7pm and noticed the Watchdog was red with the same code E8.

Now I am not certain what to do. I am guessing that since it started with the bedroom A/C that the problem is somewhere with that leg of the 50amp plug.

Any advice would be appreciated. I left it off for the night and I plan on seeing what I can figure out in the morning before calling a service tech.

Likely a bad neutral connection. Start at the output of the PWD and work your way to the neutral input to the breaker panel.

Everything inside the rv checked out fine. Replace the board inside the watchdog and the code went away and has been fine ever since.

I thought the problem was fixed. No problems for 2+ weeks. This morning power cuts off again with same E8 code. I placed a call to Hughes. Their technical support was very nice and informative. His first concern was that the rv was checked for any loose connections actually causing the fault. Next question was what kind of A/C, come to find out when it comes Furrion's Chill A/C’s it is a known issue with the Watchdog. There is something about the way the a/c operates that causes the issue. His explanation was much more detailed and honestly above my knowledge. Tech has contacted their engineer to try to figure out this issue and will get back to me.
