Production number?

I've noticed in some member's signatures there is a number IE:#xx. My first thought is that number might be the production number of their GD unit.

If that's correct, how do I find out the production number of our unit?

Kathy, since GD is already into the thousand units made, it will be the last 4 numbers of your VIN.

I'm wondering when GD starts titling units as 2015, will they reset the last digits in the VIN to 0000? If they do, we could still use the last digits of the VIN but precede it with the letter of the production year, which is the 10th number/letter in the VIN...E is for 2014.

My wife and I picked up our reflection a few weeks ago and our number is 003. When we took the plant tour we asked about the number and were told that was because they had just started a new line for reflection and ours was the third one on that line. Which means that you now have to go by the model year, plant line and sequential #.

Interesting, that makes ours #258 for 2014. Not really sure what that means.
