Quality of cabinetry; floor of slide out in front of stove

We are considering buying a new Grand Design 317RST. My initial impression is that the lower cabinets look like thy could scuff easily. Would appreciate anyones feedback on their own experience.

Also have not had a kitchen slide out before. The base of the slide out projects several inches in front of the stove. It feels awkward. Is this something you don't even notice after you start using it.

Does anyone have the 317RST and can you add your comments on pros and cons.

Thanks in advance to everyone who replies.

Welcome to the forum. We don't have the same model but haven't had any scuffing issue on the lower cabinets in the kitchen slide and the base of the slide isn't intrusive when using the stove...better than the carpeted edge and apron in other manufacturer's kitchen slide.

Good to know. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Yes the base of the slide does protrude in fornt of the stove on my 369, but I don't even notice it when we are using anything in the kitchen slide. Have had the rig since Oct '13 and no problems with scuffing on the cabinets.

We've had our 303 since 5/14and with essentially the same floor level design it has not presented any issues......in fact never thought of it as a possible challenge.
