Our new to us 2018 ST340GK is the first rig I've owned with the Remote Dump Valves. Is there any maintenance or lubrication on these? I know how to lube up the conventional valves on travel trailers but not sure about these remote valves.

They seem pretty "stiff" to me, ie, getting hard to open.

Thetford makes a drain valve lubricant that can be put in the tank:

Baby oil also works, but unfortunately, both only lubricate the blade valve itself - not the cable assembly. There has been much talk and gnashing of teeth over how to lubricate the cables. I keep mine coated with Lubriplate white lithium grease in the service bay hoping that some of that will work its way down the cable.

BTW - you can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)
