Background
- This is our first year owning/staying long-term in an RV.
- We live in the Pacific Northwest and therefore seals are super important.
- We've had temperatures in the high 80s lately
Main Questions:
- How do I tell if a seal needs to be redone? Or do you just redo them all at specific time milestones?
- Do you just redo the seals on the roof, or also the ones on the sides of the RV? Are they any different re: how to tell when to work on them?
- I've noticed that some of these don't have sealing on the bottoms of items, is that a concern when washing the RV?
- Please feel free to look at the attached pictures to let me know if you see something that needs to be fixed, or you need more info/better pictures
- How to check the A/C seals? They're kind of buried under the A/C and difficult to see
Notes:
- We had a weak seal on the bedroom slide out that was found by our inspector when we purchased it. We had the dealer fix it, but we are still a bit worried about it
- We bought our RV new in 11/2023
- We just climbed on top of the RV and took a bunch of pictures of the seals which I'll add to this post. I took a lot of pictures, so I'll only include ones that look suspicious to me.
Bonus Questions:
- Any advice for cleaning the roof of the RV/tops of the slide outs? (including brands/materials)
- Any suggestions for slide out covers that work well with windy situations?
Thank you all for your time and advice!
