Camping this weekend and while getting a start on breakfast my wife noticed that someone had got into a box of smarties in the kitchen drawer under the sink. Quickly realize that this isn't from one of the kids but a mouse, yet no signs of mouse poop anywhere. We pull the drawer out and check in "open" space and no other signs of a mouse. this is the area where pipes and wiring come in from the under belly so I suspect our mouse friend is in there somewhere.

I had traps with me from storage over the winter so set one up right away in that area and put the drawers back in. Not 5 mins into eating breakfast and you can hear the trap go off and some noise then quiet.

Not every day you find out you might have a mouse and have him caught within the hour. No damage and no mess.

I hate mice. Steel wool now into every spot I can find.

There are a number of threads related to the gaps at the slide corners. Those areas are notorious for easy access for mice. If you haven't already, be sure to look at it from outside and you'll see just how open it really is.

We never had any mice in the Foretravel, but one day I saw droppings in the pass-thru. I pulled everything out of both exterior storage areas, cleaned thoroughly, put it all back with the addition of a mouse trap. A few weeks later I brought the trap in and cleaned off the peanut butter bait. Never saw any evidence of a mouse other than that one time. We do have an indoor cat, which may explain why we never find evidence of mice inside.
