Rear Reciever tow hitch

Anyone know what class type of rear reciever tow hitch is installed on the Reflection 323 BH. I purchased a 2014 and it came from the factory with the rear reciever hitch installed. Thanks in advance for any info.

I seen on another post where someone with the factory hitch was told by GD that it was a Class III hitch. Class III hitches are Rated up to 6,000 lbs GTW with 600 lbs TW. I also found this on the internet: ◦It is not uncommon to see a 2" hitch rated at 3,500 lbs GTW called a Class III hitch

I was told 300 pounds for my 323 bhs rear hitch, hope that helps!

Can someone with 323BHS that has the factory hitch take a picture of how it is attached to the frame. I was thinking of maybe removing the bumper on my 2014 and replacing it with a hitch.

Awesome, Great photos of the setup Poppy. Thank you very much.
So it look like the left and right brackets are welded directly to the frame and then the hitch is bolted to the brackets.

I'm sure the same can be accomplished without removing the bumper.

I would rather have a rear bumper than a 2" receiver hitch--light duty. I'm the type that might just back into something.like a bush--or tree--when backing up my trailer.

I still find the Northern Tool clamp on 2" receiver hitch adequate for a hitch that you're just going to have a bicycle rack on.

My daughter's a bicycle racer, and we've been known to put bicycles in the back seat and trunk. I don't see why they cannot be put inside the front door either.

Does anyone know what size nuts and bolts are used to mount the receiver? We ordered our receiver for our 27RL, but GD but didn't give us the hardware with it. Thanks

A picture is worth a thousand words. The bolts are 1 1/2" long, Grade 5. The nuts are self locking. Flat washers on both sides.

Hope this helps.

Where do you store you sewer hoses? Looks like in front of where the hitch mounts there are some square, white pipes...is that for sewer hose storage? Did those come with your unit?

I added those and store my folding ladder in one and my flag pole, fishing poles, hiking poles in the other. I use the factory hose container for my sewer hose but intend to remove that (it's too short in my opinion) and add another of these up there.

You can check them out here: http://www.granddesignowners.com/forum/showthread.php/3046-I-Started-My-Modifications-Today

Looks like the bolt is 1/2" dia. X 1-1/2 " long.
Thank you for your quick response & photos.

Yes, sorry I didn't add that but 1/2" dia bolt

Read all of the all of the warning label on your hitch and trailer. My 2015 303 came with a 300 lb rated recreational hitch that looks exactly like the one pictured that is for bike racks only. These hitches are not designed or made to be towing anything and are held to the frame by 2-3 small 1 inch welds. I just had mine replaced with a real hitch that is rated at 5000 lbs so I can tow my boat. These recreational hitches will bend and collapse under to much load.
