We just ordered a Reflection 29 RS. Can anyone tell me where the slide out and awning switches are located? We looked at one at an RV show but we didn't pay that close attention to that detail.

Congrats and welcome to the Grand Design family! I haven't been in a 29rs, but our 337rls has all the switches inside a cabinet door on the end of the hutch facing the entry door. That is one feature I liked about Reflection, the control panel was all located together and hidden instead of random switches located on the walls. I believe all the Grand Design products are similar in location of control switches.

Yes, the controls are located in the upper cabinet as you enter in the doorway. There is a control for each slide, whiich I really like. Only thing to be VERY careful of, is checking to make sure the doors and drawers behind the slide are closed completely......otherwise about halfway out, you will hear CRUNCH!!!!!! Don't ask how I know!!!

Thanks for the information. That is what I thought but my wife thought she read that all slides were on one switch. If that was the case I would be very disappointed.

Welcome to the forum beef56 and congratulations on your new Reflection! Let us know when it comes in and how your shakedown trip goes.

On our Solitude the two living area slides are on one switch and the bedroom slide is on another.

Solitudes have hydraulic slides which is why some of the rooms are tied together on one switch. Reflections have separate switches for all slides.

Thanks for all your help. I have since found a picture that shows the control panel which is behind a door on the front of the hutch. Anxiously waiting for May delivery.
I hope the problems mentioned on this forum are not the norm. I know that more people with problems post than those that are happy!

Welcome to the forum.

Happy owner here.

Had a couple of issues, but fully expected with a new RV.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another GDRV product.

Hi beef56,

We have a 303RLS . . . a close relative of your 29RS.
Same bedroom and flipped main living area.
If you would like a picture of anything . . . just ask . . .

Rob

Addendum to my original post . . . We are very happy with our Reflection !!

Another question, can the fridge be accessed with the curb side slide in?

Based on the floor plan drawings, it does not look like the fridge on the 29RS will open with the curb slide in.
But, you have an outside fridge, so this should not be a problem :).

Thanks Cate&Rob, I didn't think the door would open. I guess it won't be much of a task to slide it enough to access fridge. The outside fridge is 110 isn't it? Probably won't keep my beverages cold while traveling!

Can't speak to the power options on the outside fridge, but not likely that they run the propane back there.
We don't travel with the fridge running on propane (I know that many do). The insulation on these fridges is pretty good.
After a 6 to 8 hour travel day, the ice cubes in the freezer are still dry and frozen.
