Narrowed 5th wheel option to GD Reflection 295RL. TV is Ram 2500 Mega Cab with Ram boxes and Cummins 6.7 diesel. Don't want to spend a lot of $$. Best I can tell, the Turning Point should eliminate upgrades such as slider hitch or Sidewinder. I don't think hitch weight and 5th wheel GVWR will be an issue. Any feedback from Ram 2500 Ram box owners towing the Reflection 150 series 5th wheelers most appreciated.

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 D 4x4 and we've been looking at the 295RL as a replacement for our TT. I encourage you to do the math with your truck. Our payload cap is 2109 lbs. Adding up pin weight, passenger & driver, weight of the hitch in the bed, stuff loaded in the trailer & fuel etc we passed 2109 very quickly. A 3500 would do the job easily.

After CAT scale weighing and adjusting for additional trailer load, my loaded 295RL pin weight is 1,715. My truck's sticker payload is 2,743 and I have some payload left over after fuel, hitch, people, stuff.

Just recently ordered a Ram 3500 from the factory. What I learned from this process is you can not order ram boxes with their 5th wheel/gooseneck prep package. If you have Ram boxes, a traditional 5th wheel setup the pinbox will hit the Ram boxes during turns.

I have seen some videos of people installing a aftermarket 5th wheel hitch with their Ram boxes and successfully using a turning point type of pinbox since the turn happens up top.

You did say reflection 150 series with turning point. I only point this out so other people reading this thread would understand the limitations. And you will have to keep it in turning point mode.
