Reflection 323BHS Awning

Hi there,

Just placed an order for a 323BHS. Very excited...

The one hesitation I had prior to ordering is the depth of the awning. It appears to only be 6' deep as opposed to the standard 8'. The dealer is saying the reason they can't use the deeper awning is because of the limited length of the support brackets (they measure about 61" top to bottom). Apparently Grand Design told our dealer they are aware that this isn't a favorable option, but they don't plan on changing the awning (Lippert) any time in the immediate future. Even though the manufacturer rep at the NJ show said they were in the process of changing them out to 8'.

As we spend a big amount of time under our awning, this was a big issue for us.

Does anyone have any input on this?

I agree that 6 foot is a bit skimpy. We have the 303RLS Reflection and have been in Sarasota Fl for three weeks (I'm not complaining). It would be nice if it was 8 feet. Looking at the supports it seems it could take a longer fabric. When the awning is out the supports aren't extended all the way. Anybody have any experience with this?

Just received our new 2015 323BHS and it has an 8 foot awning. My sister has a 2014 and it has a shorter awning.

Just measured our 2015 303. Also 8 ft.
