What is the height of the 27RL and 303RLS units?

What is the height with the bedroom a/c option?

Does the main a/c have a 15k btu option or only 13.5k ?

Can I order these units with 16" wheels and tires from the factory? I want Goodyear g614's which are LT235/85R16. Will these fit and can your rims handle the 100+ psi rating for these tires. I don't expect you to have the Goodyears at the factory I just want to make sure that I can add them when i get the trailer.

Are the lengths for the 27rl and 303rls from the pin hitch to the rear bumper?

What are ceiling heights in living area and bedroom for both units?

How many sq ft of exterior and interior storage does each unit have?

I assume the Sidewinder pin hitch will work with your units?

Sorry for all of the questions

Thanks

We just took delivery of a 303 on Thursday. I'll answer a couple. Ceiling height in living area: rear in front of the sofa-close to 85"; front is about 98". Bedroom at the foot of the bed, about 77"; driver's side of the bed in the front, about 65". The floor is raised over the storage compartment.

Friday, I sent an e-mail to tech support asking if the 16" wheels used on their larger fivers would fit the 303 axles, and what the pressure capacities were. I want to get rid of the Chinese tires before we use the rig and use the G614s also.

Camperboy, the Grand Design website lists both of those units as 12'0". You know that will vary depending on the truck so really needs to be finally determined once it's hooked up to your TV, but that's a good working number. My front Dometic 13,500 btu A/C is about 13" high, if I remember correctly, and that's what their website also lists.

Just to show how important true, on the truck, measurements are .... GD lists my 337 as 12'6". Add my 13" Dometic A/C and my rig would logically be 13' 7" and I have been under 13' 6" bridges without issue. i admit to not having my trailer correctly measured and I need to get that done.

The Dometic low profiles units that I found on the web say 9.5". Where do you get 13" for yours?

I just looked through my paperwork package and I can't find the manual for that unit. It was added by my dealer. Anyway, I went on Dometic's website and found a listing for a 13,500 btu unit and it says 13" height. I will admit that I thought I got up there once and actually measured it and I thought it was closer to 10" so maybe I found the wrong one online. In any case, that should give you a range.

Domestic penguin model is low profile at 9.5 inches

Domestic Brisk air II is taller

I have the Dometic Penguin model low profile, it is 9.5 inches. Mine is rated at 11.5K BTU and can put ice on your toes in the bedroom. Really makes for nice sleeping in the summer. I put 16in wheels/tires on mine first week of ownership. Make sure you have room at top of tire to go taller than 225/75 size if you are looking to do so. I have LT225/75-16 on mine, Firestone HT. I go through tunnels just to leave my area, 13'6" max height, no problems. I just use that as minimum clearance required and go with that.

Our front AC unit on our 27RL is the regular profile Dometic. Not the low profile. I have measured our height while hooked up and it is 13'2". I don't think you can get the 16" wheels on the 27RL as there is not enough space between the axles for the additional width of the 16" wheels. Yes the Sidewinder would work with the 27RL.
