We have a 2022 Reflection 303 RLS that we bought new. With in a month the Furrion side-by-side 12v refrigeratior just stopped working. It took a while bu the dealer replaced it. Then just this weekend it stopped working, again. The fuses were okay. The trailer is back at the dealer being checked out. Has anyone else had this problem with their refrigerator and if so how did Grand Design and Furrion take care of it? Thanks.

I've read a few posts here and there that said the Furrion 12V compressor fridges have some issues. Not common, but not unheard of either. Did the techs mention why the first one failed?

You may have seen this in other places, but be aware that the Furrion 12V refrigerators have a low battery mode that will kick in if your battery voltage drops. You can read about this in other places on the forum but the symptoms of this mode are that the refrigerator will be on but the compressor will not run even if full power is restored. Unfortunately, to perform a reset, power has to be completely removed from the refrigerator. Your battery disconnect switch will not accomplish this as the refrigerator is directly connected to the battery. I typically accomplish this by disconnecting shore power and the battery.

Same problem on our 2022 17MKE; same solution. After three times, I called the dealership who recommended a mobile tech. Of course, we were two hours away in a remote state park. I bought an ice chest, ten lbs of ice and called the tech; he had plenty of experience with the problem; suggested I try it before making an appointment. Complete disconnect worked every time this happened (many times in summer weather). Sold the trailer last February and thoroughly briefed the new owners. We haven’t had a single issue with the 2023 23LDE. Another suggestion is to install a battery disconnect switch which cuts all battery power, no trickle charge. It’s much more convenient than removing the strap, the cover and one of the terminals when the fridge issue occurs.

Good luck!

We have a 2022 Reflection 337 RLS with the 12v side by side refrigerator. Before taking delivery, we added a solar panel and upgraded the batteries at the dealer's recommendation because we dry camp. First trip out without shore power, the refridrgator didn't work. Lights went on, but no cooling. Got out of the mountains and plugged it into shore power and it still didn't work. A few days later it came on but only with shore power. Then it quit altogether again.

Into the shop for two months - couldn't find a problem but made some adjustments. Next dry camp, it worked but drew down the battery so quick I had to run a generator all day to give it enough charge for the night. Back to the shop.

Pick it up six month later (there's a list of reasons for the delay), do the walk through, same problem. Battery discharging 1% every seven minutes. Okay on shore power. We did a short camping trip (with hook ups) and then back to the shop. The dealer paid for more panels, bigger wiring and two more batteries, but it was another six months in the shop. Got the trailer home, battery charge held well but on the second day, the refrigerator died again, same symptoms as the first time.

Its been back at the shop for two months now. Anyone want to buy a Reflection.

If you are serious about wanting to sell it (last sentence in your post), prepare an ad and post it in the Trailers for Sale section. Follow the forum rules on the requirements for listing in the For Sale section, and add pictures if you would like to.

I’d look for a different shop to work on it. Months at a time in the shop doesn’t cut it for me.

Seems the 12V refrigerators in general are becoming more of an issue. I understand the selling point if you are boondocking and like the full size refrigerator and are counting on the solar to maintain the battery power. Why would there not be an option to have a full size refrigerator that runs on propane/120V as an option? We have the smaller Norcold unit and run it on either shore power of propane without issue (knock on wood). I would assume the cost of a full size is cost prohibitive for new unit sales.

The cost would probably turn off a lot of buyers. Labor alone would much more plus the cost add for the 2 way fridge. And there's no guarantee that the 2 way fridge will last any longer than the 12V.
