I ordered our 2021 395MS without the 2nd Bathroom. As a result, the second 50-gallon gray tank goes unused except for the washer hook-up (which we don’t use). When I ordered the trailer, I asked the factory team directly if/how they might connect the two gray tanks to maximize the holding capacity. That was not an option or available. I know others have tied them together externally, but that’s not something I wanted to deal with
The only time this is any issues is when dry camping for 10-14 days. I have already modified/installed a shower drop valve/diverter that I can set to divert water and biodegradable soap from the shower pan to an external drop that goes into a 5-gallon bucket and never goes to the gray tank. I empty the 5-gallon bucket where ever it makes sense. In the kitchen sink we use a small bucket to wash and collect a majority of the water to dispose of outside.
This last week I got around to installing a “removable” SS Wash Basin Sink in the garage. I use the washer waste line and cold/hot water connections for the sink. Now we have a way to draw water in the garage for our ice maker, wash our hands, wash small cocktail glasses (we set-up the bar in the garage often on long trips), and a place to empty our kitchen water from the bucket. No more walking it outside.
The washer waste line has a hepVo valve which works in place of a p-trap. No p-trap is needed to prevent waste gases from leaking. I ordered the sink off Amazon and bought all the plumping parts at Home Depot. Total was ~ $165.
I designed the plumbing connections so that can easily be removed in a matter of minutes and stored away when I want to load my garage and travel
The bracket that is mounted to the wall for the sink I had to modify by adding a little bit of a steel extension plate so that I could span the two wall studs.
