Hello all. I have a 2021 GD model 337. Roughly 36’ with 2 axles. In 2 years ownership since new I put almost 3000 miles on it. I googled bearing service intervals and says every year or 10,000 miles. My question is should I have them repacked now or when? I don’t want a major problem with them but need advice. Please send me your advice on this matter. I will appreciate advice from much more experienced people. Thanks,Bruce

If they've never been checked, THAT YOU KNOW OF, then now would be as good a time as any to check them. It's all too common to find insufficient grease in new trailers, so checking and repacking is the best thing to do, even with a brand new trailer. I repack mine every few years, to me it makes no sense to do it annually unless I'm putting in some serious mileage. But some people do it every year, take your pick.

Hoppy Frood, thanks for the info. What you said makes sense. At least when I get it done soon I’ll have piece of mind and a starting point. ?

To add to what Hoopy Frood said, you can also do a quick check by removing the drum. This way, you will be able to see if there was a grease leak onto the pads and if there's visually enough grease.

Thread moved to Axles, Brakes, and Suspension.

1) If you use "Reply With Quote" (to the right of "Reply") as I have here, folks will know to whom you are responding and that person will get a notification.

2) You can also tag folks using the "@" symbol and their user name (as I have done yours) - they'll also get a notification that way.

3) You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)
