How do I go about replacing my table top in my Imagine 2970 RL? I want the same top. I accidently spilled glue (Fabric Tac) and it had a reaction to the top. It's a small space of about 2 inches but it's a brand new rv.

To start, it looks like you're new here. Welcome to the forum. We had a similar issue, involving solvent instead of glue. We were able to sand the top and refinish it. If you posted a picture, our members might have some other ideas.

Thank you! We are new to the forum. I tried rubbing this off with a soft cloth and my tried rubbing with my finger tip but that glue just doesn't budge. I even tried gently rubbing with Dawn dish soap with no result.

How about one of those Mr. Clean magic erasers? That might be worth a try. I'm actually going to try and either replace or re-finish the table top this winter. We don't like the black finish. It shows all the dust and fingerprints immediately. I'm going to try and match the other wood in the trailer.

Try using cooking oil, it works for super glue. might be worth a shot.
Looked on their website , I use it occasionaly so thought it would be good to know for thinning it they said to use acetone but that would remove the finish.

You could always sand and restain the table

Thank you, that is a good idea. What do I have to lose. If that doesn't work, I'm also going to take the opportunity of winter time to refinish this table top. I'm just so disappointed in myself for not being mindful of what I was doing.

Thanks. This is our second time camping and we have had no problems. We are working on sealing things up that the factory missed and upgrading some other things to make things easier and or safer for us. Really appreciate this forum too.

Can you send a better picture of table top? If you can’t get it off, depending on the picture, I might have a top you could have. Otherwise, have you tried go-gone? Works for me on a lot of things.

Im going to give this cooking oil a shot. Thank you!

I just ordered another table top for my RV from Amazon. One that has an extension on it. GD does not offer a table top with an extension on it anymore. I’m excited for it to arrive hoping it will fit the way I have it planned. I’ll have to stain it. There is nothing wrong with my current tabletop, but I’ve seen other trailers with the extension that I really like.
