Replacement bearings will not fit

I am repacking the Dexter axles and while doing so decided to replace the Chinese bearings with American made Timken bearings. The outer bearings swapped out with no problems but the inner Timken bearings will not slide on to the axle shaft but the race does fit the hub. The inside diameter of the bearing must be slightly smaller even though the bearing reference numbers are the same as the Chinese bearings. Has anyone else had this problem?

Measure the spindle OD and bearing ID then go back to the vendor and ask for the proper ID bearing with the same race size.
Shouldn't be a problem for NAPA or other name brand stores to get you a bearing that fits.
Another idea is try to cross reference the Chinese bearing part number with a US bearing on the internet.
