I ordered new Compass Arms to replace my damaged Longitude ones. I was sent Altitude arms and I was wondering if I could use these or do I have to send them back. I haven’t throughly check them out yet, but it appears that both sides have a motor lead and my old ones only have a motor on the one side. I know I could send them back for the Compass arms but to avoid the aggravation, I would rather not. Any input would be appreciated.

Altitude is the new Compass replacement. FWIW - I hope the Altitude is better than the Compass arms! They're a lousy replacement for the Longitudes. My original Longitudes worked perfectly EVERY time till all four were damaged going into the FSC. I've been through 2 sets of Compass arms and an additional motor and still have one arm that always sticks after being adjusted by GD 5x and myself twice.

Probably like the Compass arms, the Altitudes won't be a direct fit replacement. GD silicone in screws in the extra holes... That's not a great way to go. Get some aluminum low-expansion rivets and silicone them in and expand them.

Thanks a lot for the response. Hopefully the Altitude arms are a little more rigid. In my opinion, The Longitude Arm should have never collapsed so easy. I’ve been camping for over 20 years and never had an arm fold like the one on my camper did. Thanks again

I would love to see the return of manual awnings with the tremendously strong legs that could either anchor on the coach or be released to "carport." Never worried about them. Electric awnings are basically sunshades for calm days and nothing more...

I 100% Agree
