As you can see from our signature line we own a 2021 (mfg’d in 2020) Momentum 376THS. We are second owners and apparently the original owners left it sitting for some time with the door side facing the brunt of the sun. So quite a few of the decals are shrunk or have wavey edges.

I recently contacted Grand Design Parts requesting a full set for that side. Their customer service rep said they do not sell them as a ‘set’, she did quote me for each individual decal (bless her heart, was a lot of work I’m sure). But when I totaled it up it came to $8,658 !!

So other than just ranting here, has anyone else tried to replace all, or a large portion of their decals? And if so what was your experience and did you hire someone to do the removal and replacement?

Thanks in advanced for any experiences or suggestions.

Right now I’m considering doing a full body paint instead ($14-16k…)

No experience with that many on a side, and after 11 years of full-timing our sides still look good.

Both the front and rear decals on our 2015 model Momentum (bought new) deteriorated. On the rear, I was able to remove it myself with commercial adhesive remover and since the door had been replaced 2 years prior (yes...the decal was only 2 yrs old), the gel coat was in great shape so I left it blank (decal was not available). A couple of years later the front was in terrible shape. I spent hours and hours trying to remove it, but never could get all the baked on adhesive removed satisfactorily. I had planned to put a wrap on it, but wound up paying $2400 to have the nose sanded, primed and repainted. I also changed the color from the original black to the cream that is the major color. It now has no decal now and looks great blank (and the bedroom stays cooler).

I'd base your decision on how long you think you'll keep the rig, and how much you think paint is going to increase the resale and/or personal enjoyment value.

When the decal on the top nose of our Reflection started looking bad, we looked into getting a replacement for it. Yikes! the price killed that thought immediately. So, my husband took heat gun, WD4, and plastic blade to it and just removed it. As the other decals are starting to curl on the edges, we're thinking the same thing will happen to those.

It looks fine to us. And, when/if we get to the place that they're all gone, we may get a paint job.

The decals are supposed to have a 5 year warranty on them.
