Has anyone replaced there flooring themselves? Our 27RL needs new flooring thru out so we are going to tackle this or at least try. Of course GD no longer had our carpet or vinyl flooring any more so will have to get it from a carpet store. We are wintering in place in alabama till April so figured this is the time. Good grief I hope this will go well. Anyone on here tackle this and if so any pointers? Lol
Thanks
Tara

It's a 2017 27RL and have been fulltime traveling in it since Feb 2019. Wear and soft spots and just seriously needs new flooring everywhere. Lol

We replaced the main level of our 230RL with standard LVP from Home Depot. Went really well and looks great. We did not remove the carpet from the slide area though. Just ran the LVP just under the existing transition.

If you are anywhere within a day trip to White Pigeon MI you could go to Bontragers, we scored a 4 ft wide for the dining slide out and bedroom (around the bed) ,a 50 ft roll vynil for 25$. There were also 100 ft rolls for $50 ..they tried talking us into that. Tempting but where do you put it and it was very heavy . Quite a few sizes and colors were there. We hope to start on it this summer while parked in the driveway. The carpet is way beyond needing replacing

Thank you for the great info but we are in southern Alabama. Our camper is a 2017 27RL reflection 5th wheel andweve been on the road traveling for soon to be 6 years and almost to the point of looking for aslight larger 34ft or under just for some little upgrades.
Thanks again

I replaced the carpet in the dinning slide of our 2019 Solitude 310gk almost 3 years ago. That carpet had at least a thousand staples holding it. At that time factory matching vinyl flooring was available, it was a perfect match to the rest of the flooring. If you're going with a full sheet of vinyl flooring I would definitely remove the island. If you're thinking of using plank flooring, you could leave the island in place and just cut in around it. Very little if any carpeting is being used on most newer campers.

Same for me. Quick and no problems
