Retractable shower door spring broke?

First camping trip with our 2020 Imagine 2800BH, somehow my wife lost her footing while on the outside of the closed shower door and put her handout for balance but pushed the curtain so far in that it no longer retracts , I feel like the spring mechanism broke or came off , bit of an odd on but wondering if anyone has advice for repair ?

Two thoughts; First is with time, mine has been slow or stopping while coiling back up. If I slowly pull it back out to the stop and hold / guide it in, it will wind up all the way. If the tag is still on the wind-up screen there is contact info for the maker on it. You may be able to search or call for info on it.

The first time we saw those was a few years ago when we were in a group that was to critique some of the prototype / coming to market soon models. There was that shower curtain in the one I was in. The first thing on my list ( and others) was that shower curtain will be prone to breakage, I broke it when it slipped out of my hand testing it out.
But it is likely low cost and very light weight and they went with it anyhow .

I would replace it with a regular rod and curtain set up if it were in my trailer.
