We have a TCL Roku TV with an Antenna Tech On/Off Switch and a Winegard Air 360+ antenna. When we arrive at a campground we scan for channels with the antenna on (or off if the campground has cable). We have not added cellular and/or Wi-Fi connectivity to the antenna. After scanning for channels, when we click the remote to switch channels, the TV is very slow in changing channels. So much so we end up clicking the remote again and it seems like we get several clicks ahead if that makes sense. The TV will then shut down and restart on its own. We have changed the batteries in the remote so that is not the issue. We rarely stream anything and when we do we hook a laptop up to the TV with a cable.

Is it us, the TV, or something else. I would hate to replace the TV with another "smart" TV and have the same issue.

Two thoughts : First, have you ever done an update on the TV? Second, how's the signal strength? The TV can be slow in tuning low signals.

Do you do a factory reset? This removes channels in the TVs memory you scanned in at previous campgrounds. I do it as the first step every time.

I have not updated the TV since we bought the camper, but it pretty much did this from the get go. We do not use the TV often, so never really worried about it. I will try to update - that is a good thought. We have been in spots with poor signal strength and spots that have good signal strength, but the TV pretty much does the same thing. It even does it while on cable when the campground has cable.

We scan for channels every time we change campgrounds, unless we are dry camping with no electricity.

I did update the software. I had updated the software last year, although I don't remember doing so. The update did seem to help. Signal strength is probably an issue looking at the channels that did not come in. Still slow to change channels, but seems to be better.
