I'm loving our new camper but not loving ROKU. I'm gradually learning it nut one thing still stumps me. I usually watch OTA channels but occasionally use my phone hot spot to watch streaming channels. Once my ROKU connects to the internet it will no longer let me watch OTA channels. It shows online versions of various channels when I press "watch local TV". What am I missing?

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. Maybe the answer is to turn off your internet connection for the TV when you want to watch OTA.

Use the voice command function on the remote to get a specific OTA channel and it will stay on the antenna.

i.e., “Find channel 6.1”.

Alternatively, you can go into the TV menu and select the antenna as the input, but the first method is faster.

I think you're just not scrolling up on the menu. When you pull the channel menu up it automatically shows the streaming channels (don't ask me why), but if you scroll up you'll see that the OTA channels are right there. Continue to scroll up until you get to the beginning of the list and you should see a header showing Antenna. That's how mine works. Logic would dictate that it should show Antenna first when you open the menu, but logic doesn't always dictate...

We wrestled with this too. We like the OTA for local news and the channels with old shows on them. The channels are all numbered obviously and in order. So the OTA channels will be at the top as mentioned above.

Another issue we ran into was I tapped into the cable channels at one place and then they wouldn’t go away at the next. Super annoying as they’re mixed in with the OTA channels(4 vs 4.1 etc). You have to rescan cable with nothing connected to make them go away. OTA television was definitely a last priority on this TV. Great television overall as stock RV televisions go.

Thanks. I will give that a try.

Deepest apologies for hijacking’s this thread but…
My wife and I have been looking hard at your model. This is the first post I’ve seen referencing it. You seem to be liking it. It would be our first 5er. I’m guessing you have no problem towing it with your Ram, correct?

Thanks and good luck with the Telly.

Yes, we are loving it, but I should point out we just bought it a week ago. This is our second fiver, fourth camper. We downsized from a 34 ft Keystone and ithas been everything we hoped. My truck is a 3/4 ton. diesel so no problem at all with the towing, nor was there issues with the Keystone. Some refer to this size as half ton towable but I would definitely not recommend that.
Let e know if you have questions.

Can do.
Thank you very much!

If you have not done it, suggest you go through the menu and reset that marvel of dumb engineering with the factory reset. Our engineering marvel would turn itself on every time we hooked up power and did numerous other weird stuff until we wiped its tiny mind. Works much better now. You will lose Netflix etc. passwords but easy to re-enter.

No issues whatsoever with our Rokus. Rescan for ota channels wherever we stop and reset the zip code to update the guide. Live tv option is on the home menu with the streaming channels. Works seamlessly on both our tvs.
