Well, it’s the weakest most vulnerable part of the RV and an issue could lead to extensive insidious damage from moisture. If you have a FW and camp in a places with trees, possibly low hanging I’d say it a good investment.
It’s right up there with the Morryde independent suspension. Maybe never realize the benefits of it, but it gives some a peace of mind. The other weak link of towables.
Only real downside I can think of beyond the obvious cost is alterations to the roof top. Solar panels, replacing vents, etc. Can’t just hop up there and remove some dicor for the job. That could be an issue. With that, It’s great it stands up to hail, but usually it’s the plastic bits up there that get damaged. I think even a rubber roof is somewhat resilient when it comes to hail.
