discovered a couple of small roof tears near the edge, 1" long, on our reflection 303.

What's the best way to patch, dicor and or eternabond tape?

It's brand new, but assume tears aren't under warranty?

thanks,

John

Hi John,
Could you post a picture . . . So the rest of us know what to look for?
Thanks
Rob

Patching with eternabond tape could be a permanent solution if applied properly...that's why I carry some with in case of any close encounters with tree limbs.

Good idea on the pics, will have them tomorrow.

Another vote for Eternabond Tape, we also carry a roll with us everywhere we go the stuff is amazing (albeit a little pricey) still worth the cost.

Don't assume this won't be covered by warranty, show it to your dealer. Unless you know you drove it under some thick, low branches. Maybe move this post to the Tech area?

here's the tear, doesnt seem too bad but dont want any moisture getting in.
suggestions?

also noticed the caulking around the roof ladder looked a little weak, should i cover it over or remove the old stuff and apply new?

thanks,

John

Hi John,

Thanks for the pics. I was up on my roof today looking at seals. I don't have damage scars like your first pic but have several "cracks" and "open cavities" like in your second pic. Do these go all the way through ? To your question . . . do we cover this over or remove and start fresh ?? Looking to those with experience to guide us on this . . .

Rob

no i dont think they go all the wat through
say how do you get all your info and pic to show on your pposts& replies
thx

Hi John,

When we "joined up" we followed the instructions for setting up an Avatar (picture to the left) and signature (data below).
I don't pretend to understand how this all works ! Chris or Dave or others . . . jump in here with the "tutorial".

Are you referring to the signature at the bottom of every post?

Select 'settings' when you're signed in...it's on the upper right of the screen beside 'log in/out'.
In the selections on the left side of the screen you'll see 'edit signature'...select it
Add the signature info in the text box provided
Add a signature photo if desired...note the image size restriction
Save the signature...it will be displayed on all your posts including past posts.
