We have received a TON of rain up here for the past week and a half. At one point around day 7 of the deluge, I noticed the carpeting in the bedroom right at the edge of the slide was wet. It wasn't a lot of water, about a 12" in diameter area, but I cannot figure out where it came in from. The only thing I can think if is that the rubber gasket around the slide may have gotten slightly compromised and some water might have come in from underneath it.

I dried up the area, went up on the roof and inspected it. There were the usual small sticks, acorns, leaves, etc. but nothing jumped out at me. So it got me to wondering if I need to treat the rubber gaskets for the slides. Is there a product that you use, and if so, how often do you use it? Thanks.

I've been using 303 wipes a couple times a year. It contains UV protection and the rubber stays soft and supple.

I use the spray and a cloth, same result, rubbber stays soft. 303 is good stuff for rubber.

Might be following the Schwintek tracks in also.

Have seen that more than once.
