We have a 2021 Solitude 3550BH-R and are technically on our 2nd fridge. The original one that was installed (also samsung) didn't work at our walk through. This past weekend we received notifications that unusually high temps were read in our fridge and freezer. Our Solitude is parked in a seasonal spot and isn't towed. When I got to our camper I found that the compressor on the fridge wasn't running so both fridge and freezer were hot. After spending a frustrating 1.5hrs chatting with Samsung support, we power cycled the fridge (unplugged) and it kicked back on and is now working. Batteries are fully charged and our camper is always plugged in to shore power (50amp) during the season. Has this happened to anyone else...and did you find out why???? I would really like to not have to throw out more food.

If it's an RF18 series fridge, we've had that one for 4-1/2 years with zero issues. Might be time to contact Samsung customer service.

Yes, it's an RF18A. I contacted samsung and spent over an hour on virtual chat trying troubleshooting and finally was able to unplug the fridge to power cycle it. That seemed to do the trick for now. I'm just skeptical that it will last. Just curious if anyone else had this issue.

Is it the one without handles? 2021 had the older one with exposed handles and the newer model with recessed “hidden” handles. The newer version has issues where it would stop cooling even though the temp readout would still say it was at temp. When you cycled the power it would show the real temp and start cooling again. By the time you figured out it wasn’t cooling it was usually too late.

It was a fairly common problem with the new units. It was all over the reviews on the Samsung site at the time. It took a Samsung repair guy 2 attempts at fixing it but once they replaced the right part it’s been flawless. It was 2 years ago so I’m not sure what it was they replaced but something to do wi the WiFi connection system sticks in my head even though mines never been connected. Being that it was a common issue they should know what parts needs to be replaced by now.

Thank you so much! I will call samsung back and see if they can send send someone out to fix it
