I have the furion tankless water heater and need guidance when sanitizing the fresh water system. Do you bypass or run the bleach solution thru it? thanks in advance

I mix a solution in a water jug and draw it in with the onboard water pump and fill the fresh water holding tank. Then run the solution again with the onboard water pump through all the lines, water heater, faucets, ect. You can do this with the water heater off, the water will still travel through the lines to sanitize every line. Then rinse everything out after a few hours or the next morning to rid of the solution.

Short answer, Yes. 😁

I run the solution through the water heater.
Hi. Thanks for your response! We have the same TT and tow vehicle. We are heading out west this year thru mountain ranges. Curious if you have done so, how you fared with that set-up. We have a tow/haul setting on ours.

We haven't been out west with this trailer and truck. It works well for us on the 6% Black Mountain grade on I-40 and the long 4.5% Fancy Gap grade on I-77. I also have no complaints about performance on I-77 through West Virginia though I don't remember what grades we hit when driving there. About the only time I use tow/haul is in the mountains. While not as good as an exhaust brake I like the downshift you get by tapping the brakes rather than having to go heavy to slow the truck down, coast to cool the rotors then rinse and repeat.

I bypass the water heater (either on demand or tank style) when sanitizing the fresh water system. I've never felt the need to sanitize a component that gets repeatedly pretty hot.
