Have bins for most things (sewer, electric, plumbing, tools, parts, lubricants/sealants), but some items (folding table, chairs, DEF etc.) might tend to shift and looking for what others have done to keep things from bouncing around. Also, I have Camco hoses - tried to coil them up yesterday - low 40s and pretty stiff. At home, not an issue as I'll run hot water through it - makes it very pliable but not really an option on the road.
Thanks,
John

First, I wouldn't bring DEF as you can pump your own at any truck stop. Cheaper and no mess. I use lots of bins, and loose items in between bins.

Is there any reason you can't put the stiff hose on the outside faucet and run your hot water... Almost like home

Well, a novel idea.....doooohhhh. I used to string 250' of hose in temps as low as 0F to fill the tanks in the boat - had to leave the hot water running as I unscrewed each hose or the ones behind it would freeze on the dock while I coiled the first one up. That was a once a week drill. A lot shorter this time.

With the DEF issues RAMs have been suffering, not taking any chances and putting in mopar DEF. Too many stories of warranty claims disallowed for using 'questionable' DEF quality. Guess I could put it in the bed but thought it would be less in the way in the pass thru.

Ah. Didn't know about any RAM issues.

I recently purchased a Camco EvoFlex potable water hose - coils easily at any temperature. (My No Freeze Water Hose is another story...).

I too use large bins in the basement. I have enough of them that chairs are held in place, even on rough roads.

In my opinion, DEF in the basement is not a good idea. Should there be a leak, the stuff is very caustic. DEF also has a shelf life. I practice JIT DEF management (just in time) and only buy the stuff when I need it. I've also gotten away from buying DEF at the pump at truck stops after reading several stories about issues.

I don't know why I didn't see the EvoFlex - picked up a reinforced version like I had for decades when we lived on our boat - lasted forever. What length did you go with since you stay at a lot of different places?

I don't know how many bins we will start out with - four larger ones and two smaller ones so far. Doesn't seem like much to hold things in place. What am I forgetting to bring?

I get it that DEF is not nice stuff but I've used up 8 gallons in 12K miles without towing. With 4500 miles coming up, I'm going to need it. It can go in the bed under the tri-fold - just harder to get to if hitched and needed. My DEF gauge does not read like the manual says it should so it's a bit of an unknown.

Yup we use bins and tubs. We use the deeper bins, one for all the sewer stuff and one for spare parts stuff. Then some shallow stackable bins for hoses, extra electrical cables, one for the 50 amp extension cable, and so forth. Anything liquid goes inside a bin just in case it leaks. Cans of stuff like cleaner, paint, grease, seal treatment and schwintek slide can spray lube also goes inside a bin. Stuff like grease guns, funnels and such I made up these things to hold them.

DEF - well its an issue for all truck owners. I have used box DEF and filled at truck stops. You can get a bad batch anywhere. I wait till my DEF gauge is at 1/2, that way it takes a full box with none left over, or I fill at a truck stop. I never carry a partially used open box of DEF.

Nice! Grease guns and I have a long history - not a good one. I have some extra PVC sitting next to the RV - maybe time to put some to use.

I have 3 bins: fresh water fittings, electric adapters, waste water fittings. Hoses and cords coiled (agree cold isn't fun). Folding chairs and tables are stacked/interlocked based on trial and error over 4 years of camping. Milk crates for BBQ accessories and wheel chocks/X braces.

Went with a flexible hose, takes up a lot less storage, and is easy to pack (see here). Then bins as others have said. Working on a solution for my telescoping ladder.

I stole the idea from another RVer. Different kinds of grease in the guns. I put a layer of disposable shop towels in the bottom of the tubes to collect liquidity of the grease leaking out of the guns, then use magic fingers to pull out and replace. Also like someone added, milk crates, great for chocks, jack blocks and other stuff, great for holding or transporting LP tanks.

I use D rings hanging from the "rafters" for the hoses, also use an Evo Flex. Use D rings with straps to hold two small tables upright against the rear wall. Use bins for anything wet-aerosol cans, cleaners rags etc, another for sewer fittings, all in the pass thru.
Since I have gen prep in the foreword bay, I put a wire shelf in the pass-thru on the forward wall, miscellaneous stuff goes on it-leaf blower, elect. adapters, triangle reflectors, flags in small bins extra hoses. Bins fit underneath it.
DEF goes in the bed of the truck, along with a grease gun, grease, seals, bearings in a tool bag. The bag goes in the front of the bed along with my 2K watt Yamaha, & a toolbox with the impact wrench, & other stuff to change tires with & another toolbox with tools. Cabled & locked to the bed with a tonneau cover when not towing.
Front bay holds the collapsible ladder, trailer tool box (pex fittings & tools, fuses, wire, sealants), bicycle tool box, viair compressor. Outdoor mat satellite dish.

I bought a 35' EvoFlex and so far, so good.
