Well we started out at 9:00 this morning from snowy Lexington, Ky. on our first trip in our new Solitude 369 RL. 206 miles later we landed in Dandrige, TN at Anchor Down RV resort. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever seen. They aren't even open until March 17th but they were kind enough to let us come on down for our shakedown trip. The Solitude so far has performed beautifully. My husband said numerous times he didn't even know if was behind us! We are now sitting in the easy chairs with the fireplace going and having a ball!! Still so glad we chose Grand Design after all of our research!
Truly if you are looking for a great campground in the Gatlinburg, TN area you should check this place out! The view over the lake is gorgeous! Can't wait for my coffee in the morning to look out over it!!

Great looking picture Sandi!
Y'all have fun and enjoy your trip :)

We contacted them last week after the tip you gave me about it. My wife said they were very nice people, we are booking July 4th with them. Share some site pictures with us if you can, it's hard to tell much from campground maps.
Kind of cool that the first Fifth Wheel to park there was a Grand Design, you are the first camper there too. Good story you have to tell for years, we will all back you up on it. A Cat fan the first to stay in a new Vol campground, nice job.

We have taken some beautiful pics of the campground but I can't figure out how to resize them for this site. I know there was a mention of how to do it in one of the threads but I have searched and can't find it. If you are a Facebooker we have posted pics on the Anchor Down RV Resort page. They also have a lot of pics on there. If I end up finding how to resize them I would love to post them here!

I find it wonderful that you're on your "shakedown trip", and the focus is on a campground and not flaws found with your Solitude. It's great that Grand Design owners aren't focused on quality problems and can enjoy the intended purpose of an RV in the first place. The last fifth wheel I purchased spent nine weeks in the shop getting rebuilt after the shakedown trip. I'm sure looking forward to carefree traveling when Old Man Winter releases it's grip on the factory and our new Reflection is delivered!
