I’ve done some plumbing repairs on my 2019 S-type Grand Desgn fifth wheel using Shark Bite fittings. Only about 50% of the time do I get a good seal on the existing hose and must revert to clamped fittings. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Whenever I have to do plumbing work, I replace the plastic fittings with metal Pex fittings and use Pex rings. That's given me the best results over the years. That is as long as I use a heat gun to warm up the end of the vinyl tubing before fitting the ring on and crimping to the fitting. Haven't had any leaks from those joints yet. I tried shark bit fittings and other alternatives over the years thinking maybe it would be easier/faster but end up going back to Pex rings/crimping.

Before I bought a Pex tool, I did some emergency plumbing repairs at my house using the Shark bite fittings, they are still working, no leaks. On my trailer, I have only repaired the plumbing with the Pex clamps.
