shelf removal

We want to remove the shelf in the cupbord under the tv in our 2800bh so we can hang clothes. It is a very tight fit and I am afraid of damaging it by twisting. Is there a way to easily remove it without messing it up?

I have the 2600RB and it has the same cupboards as your 2800. I removed the shelf by first taking a sharp knife and cutting the bead of sealant they put on the edges, the caulking is hard to see because it is also dark brown. Once the caulking was removed the shelf was easy to lift up and remove.

Has anyone figured this out? I too have a 2800bh and cannot figure out how to remove the "removable shelf". It appears to me that the only way to get it out would be to pull off the front fascia, but I really don't want to do that.
